Abang Lukman
This post supposed to be up by last week, but its better to be here than none…
Okay, as i’d promised Abang Lukman when i was away in Tioman i promised this Indonesian chap to promote his ‘warong’ at my blog, though my blog isn’t a preeminent one. At least, it is my appreciation for providing us a sumptous meal for one of the nite.

This is Abang Lukman, an Indonesian who had been serving regular Tioman customers with his bbq dinner beside a Chinese restaurant called Sarang Restaurant. Its located in Tekek Village,Tioman where we stayed. The pic as u can see, he operates everyday 7/7 ,6pm-9pm only.
We managed to bog on his ‘warong‘ the 2nd nite of stay and it was really satisfying.

One of the fish which i’ve forgotten its name, n it costs us RM7. It isn’t tat pricey considering an average of 1 plate fried rice costs us rm10 for other restaurant.

Freshly grilled, toned to perfection’s Calamari.

Local vegetables, a simple cabbage, with carrot..a simple one, yet felling. Even i can cook this, proudly. hehe

This ‘ikan tiga rasa’, sealed our dinner to perfection with its sweet, sour and spicy taste. 2 thumbs up for this.

Well, perhaps his abang lukman’s personality is the key for his consistent attraction of customers.
All in all, our dinner sums to around rm15 per pax, and seriously guys, its worth for a go, in case u happened to stay over at Kampung Tekek for Tioman vacation.

Final semester..and so what? Mugging as we supposed to?…Nah…

4 of us,me,Buttock, Christina, and TekJee geared up and headed to east of peninsular’s island called..Tioman.

Of all the villages in Tioman, we resided in Tekek, a minute one but yet the most civilised one. Choosing to stay over there isn’t merely coz of the its development of course, but to realise my 3 years steadfast dream to –be a diver, before i graduate.
Tekek is one of the villages tat provides most diving activities by few of the diving centres located at around that area. Its a 4 days 3 nites course by Tioman Dive Centre affliated under PADI(Professional Association of Diving Instructor).

We stayed in Babura Seaview Resort which located just a stone throw away from Tioman Dive Centre, but there’s one more adjacent to it which is Swiss Cottage which located a stone blow away from it. Babura offered us a more economy price than the latter.

For the 4 days, we were attached to Tioman Dive Centre, a small cottage, well i didn expect tat to be tat small, operated mostly by Caucasians who believed in their quality they provied more than the price. Well, i wouldn’t disagree.

I wouldn’t ever forget this place, the birth of my passion for diving. Orange shirt guy is Gordie btw..posing..
The 4 days, me n Christina were packed with the schedules to complete the course while TekJee and Gordon were there for their leisure dives. We filled our days there upmost important to stay away from our books by doing filling ourselves not only with diving but some other leisure activites. I’ll let the pics to do more elaboration.

Just like driving lessons, we kicked off our course with listening to the theoretical lessons..which bored me to death. It reminds me of the CSU videos very much..

While me n Christina were suffering from the boredom, the other 2 guys seems to be in extreme joy and fun with with diving and…hehe eh hem hem, mind me to introduce our new friends majoring in marine science from UKM doing their electives for 2 months, on the left Keat, and right from up to bottom Rachel, Alice Siew Ling, and Michelle ( mind me if there’s mistakes with spelling).

We did some footworks too with the football, with other divers over there while appreciating the serene sunset.

Awesome, isn’t it?!

Great snap courtesy of TekJee…

I’ll be a dead happy man to stay dead there if every morning, this is wat i see..lol

A new discovery in Tioman. Real human sculpture on coconut tree.

To keep ourselves busy away from reminded by our books again, at night we did have our programmes as well.

Fishing..Being an environment friendly person..its a catch n release angling. hehe..konon..release into our stomach perhaps.

One of the night view of the Marina Bay…Where we met someone interesting.

His name is Leo, and he’s been sailing since 2007 after his retirement from NewZealand. His first catch comes to us when we were asking him where’s he from..He answered, “I’m from this ship”..He’s been practically staying on his ship for the past 2 years doing what he is passionat about – sailing. He shared loads of interesting stories with us and as youngster, he really opened our eyes to the world.

One of members, Giddy Buttock Gordie Pang unfortunately sliped down gracefully on one of the stairs during fishing, fortunately he doesnt go for another skin diving. Gotta dressed up in Klinik Kesihatan. Latest update, he is as fit as fiddle, diving as swift as dolphine underwater. Cool..cool..lol

We the guys did some strumming now and then at night to keep ourselves entertained.

A post confined water diving we did. Tat’s Christina at the right end.

AAhh..i think we were cursed before life with exams…Even now and then, there’s exam here!!Can’t believe that. I scored horrendously..as usual..hehe.

Let me introduce the man behind everything i am for, for this trip. His name is Richard, tall and hunky South African and he is our instructor. He goes every of his word with..’cool..cool’..everything’s cool for him. If anyone see this, pls show to him as my gratitude to him..Man, u gotta cut down ur smoking..its not cool. Thanks Richard :p

My extreme yeng-ness…And so..tat’s our first open diving that i am gonna do in my entire life with this team of ppl.

The well demarcated strawberry-vanilla line…Its turning to chocolate-vanilla soon…lol..
I am looking forward for another diving trip soon. Hopefully Sipadan will be my next one. Am really looking forward that!Anyone interested???
*All the pics are courtesy of TekJee. Being generous guy, he doesn’t mind i use his pics to post here..lol
Random updates
Again, i abondoned my blog, chronicly.
Been very occupied with bulk of works in and out from hospital. I am currently posted to the obstetric and gynaecology, a real BLOODY busy posting. I really meant it, bloody 5 weeks long dealing with blood, blood and blood.
Well, i wasn’t actually growling though. This posting prepared me a closer view on how i am surviving later on during my housemanship. One of the highlights here,is this oncall thingy. We got this on-call which require us to oncall until 5 am the next morning and then proceed to the next day of normal work. It wasn’t really tat bad though.
Time passed really fast here, and counting down from here, its a mere 12 weeks away from the finals. Gosh, its really fast.
